A journey into the olive oil tradition

The San Marco Oil Mill was founded in 1999 from a tradition I inherited from my grandfather Giovanni Battista, who moved from Santu Lussurgiu to the olive groves of Sassari in the 1950s, installing a traditional oil mill.
In 1973 the tradition continued with my father Franco, who in the same year installed the first continuous-cycle oil plant in Sardinia.
Today, the San Marco Oil Mill is able to operate thanks also to technological innovations, with professionalism and expertise in various services for the tertiary sector such as milling, the production of olive pits, and extra virgin olive oil.
The management and success of the San Marco Oil Mill is due to the administrator Giovanni Battista Salaris, who from 1980 to 1999, having gained experience working as a plant operator in his father's oil mill, spent the rest of the year working on various tasks such as plowing, treating, and pruning in the olive grove.
Since 2000, having become an agent for Sardinia for various leading oil machinery companies, he has helped to strengthen various professional skills, thus favoring the positive progress of the business itself.
